It is not so much about the scarf but what to do with it. The classic Hermes scarf, the most popular silk scarf worldwide is a 90 centimeters square, it is woven from silk of 250 mulberry moth cocoons and weights in total 65 grams. Many designers all over the world have recognized the silk scarf as a must have accessory and as such have incorporated silk scarves in their lines of luxury accessorizes.
With such a variety of choice, it does not necessarily mean you have to spend hundreds of dollars for a good quality silk scarf. Silk scarves come in variety of shapes, sizes and designs. Some have prominent and somewhat whimsical design (think Hermes and Pucci), while others are in plain block colors, which if chosen wisely can work great to compliment any outfit.
Silk scarves can be long, so you can wrap around your neck a few times, or they can be short and tucked into the shirt or a cardigan. Silk scarves can be used as belts, wrapped around the torso as tops, or used as headscarves. The options are limitless. |
